Membership package
CBA East is a newly formed regional Group that brings together the resources of the former East Anglia and Mid Anglia Groups, and operates in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
We are an independent charity funded by members’ subscriptions and we aim to offer a regular programme of varied and interesting events and meetings for members, and to liaise with other societies and local groups to encourage participation in archaeology around the region. The Group comprises interested members of the public, academics and students as well as heritage professionals, so it is as multi-faceted as the archaeology of the region it covers. Organised events also represent this diversity, examples being guided walks over Therfield Heath, Hertfordshire, to see the prehistoric barrows, and round the remains of the16th century Theobalds Palace at Cheshunt, and recent tours of the medieval abbey at Bury St Edmunds, and of Thetford Castle (and Iron Age fort) and Priory.
