Membership Changes 2012

The CBA membership is package has changed!

The package you receive as a CBA member has now changed. This page details those changes and how they will affect your membership, whether you are a new member or a renewing member.

What are the changes?

We have now separated out membership of individual CBA Groups from the main UK-wide CBA membership offer.

The CBA will continue to offer a consistent package of membership benefits to all our members, and we aim to increase these benefits in the future.

button All CBA members will continue to receive British Archaeology and newsletters by post and you will also have access to the digital version of the magazine. You will have access to the current issue, as well as a number of past issues, with the facility to search for specific content. This will be accessible to you via the Internet on your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Find out more about the digital version of British Archaeology here.

We will also arrange other special offers for CBA members throughout the year.

However, members are no longer given automatic free membership of a CBA Group, and instead, are asked to pay a small additional fee for this extra membership, if you so chose.

Why have we made these changes?

The new arrangements are simpler to administer, offer greater flexibility to the individual CBA Groups, and ensure that we can offer a consistent, high class membership package to all our members, wherever they are based.

How will these changes affect your membership?

On renewal of your membership, you need to decide whether you would like to continue with your current Group membership, for an small additional fee, or whether you’d prefer to continue with standalone CBA membership.

We do hope that you will continue to support the CBA and CBA Groups. Details of all the CBA Groups will be sent to you with your membership renewal letter and you can also find out more about the Groups on our website.
