Acropolis Education

Billy F. K. Howorth, Archaeologist & Lecturer.
I offer a wide range of sessions throughout the North-West including talks and lectures to local groups,
societies and schools, in addition to my guided walks and guided day trips.
I also teach history and archaeology courses at various venues throughout the North-West,
as well as activity sessions and education sessions for children.
All my sessions are adaptable for any age group or ability and I am able to tailor my sessions or write them on
specific subjects by request.

Archaeological Illustration Group

Set up some years ago as an offshoot of an adult learning class we now teach undergraduates in techniques of archaeological illustration and advise
and help with artefact illustration for archaeology groups around the North East. We are a non-profit organisation.

Upper Derwent History and Archaeology Society

We are based in Edmundbyers in County Durham and our aim is to research the history and archaeology of the upper reaches of the Derwent Valley.
The area is rich in lead mining history and offers opportunities for research into this field and into medieval and prehistoric settlement.
