3.1 Introduction to Survey Results

This section breaks down the Heirnet User Survey 2005 results. In section 3.2 the results are presented to highlight the overall patterns perceived in the Archaeology and Historic Environment online community. In section 3.3 those survey results will be broken down into a more detailed analysis of the different user groups. In the survey, respondents were asked to choose one of the following twelve options that best described either:

These categories were chosen because they were considered to be the most important audiences for the majority of HEIRs. As we shall see, the 'other' category had the 3rd largest membership, therefore suggesting that HEIRNET may need to re-evaluate their audiences.
