Results show a significant drop amongst daily Internet users when it comes to using the Internet for specifically for Archaeology or the Historic Environment. Just over half of those who go online daily, do so for Archaeology or Historic Environment related reasons. However, these figures are still surprisingly high, indicating that there is a large group users who habitually include researching Archaeology and the Historic Environment amongst their online activities. Such high results are surprising because a large portion of the respondents are students and as such, likely need only to research their academic topics during term, and even then only during the weeks leading up to reports and projects - perhaps 15 weeks a year. During those periods they might go online for Archaeology and the Historic Environment purposes every day. What this graph indicates is that students are probably doing more than just finding information for their papers. Further evidence of this is found in the breakdown by user group of question 5.
