Charity Status
As a registered charity (no. 801634) the MSRG is regulated by the Charity Commission. The Group was established for the following charitable objects:
"The advancement of public education by promoting interdisciplinary involvement in the collection, analysis and dissemination of data relating to the history, geography and archaeology of medieval rural settlement"
To this end, the Group:
- Makes grants to individuals
- Makes grants to organisations
- Provides advocacy / advice / information
- Sponsors or undertakes research
- Acts as umbrella or resource body
