Good News for PAS

The announcement of the positive review of the Portable Antiquities Scheme (see the latest BA magazine) was welcomed by the CBA, which has been at the forefront of the campaign to support the Scheme. CBA Director Mike Heyworth said,

I am delighted with the outcome of the review, but questions still remain about the long-term future of the Scheme. Confidence in MLA has been eroded, and a transfer to the British Museum remains our preferred option in the next two years.
