Deadline for Briefing no 126 Approaching
Tell us about your conferences and excavations by 9pm Wednesday 11 July and we’ll include them in CBA Briefing.
The next issue of Briefing is almost due. This is the CBA’s listing of fieldwork, conferences, notices and other events published in our British Archaeology magazine every two months, also available online. Listing of entries via our Briefing service is free to all.
Each year, around 380 conferences, excavations and notices are listed. To check if your entry is already included, or to see the type of details we include, visit our Briefing section. Last year, we had more events to fit in than ever!
If you have an event to be included, please send information by 9pm Wednesday 11 July via email to Briefing. A reminder of the next deadline is always given on the Briefing pages.
Please note that space in the printed magazine can be limited and any text is likely to be edited for publication. Magazine no 126 (Sept/Oct 2012) on sale Friday 10 August.
Please remember to include event title, dates, summary information and contact details (name, postal address, phone, email, website… whatever is applicable!). We prefer to receive plain text in the main body of an email.
A printed event listing usually takes the form of:
Name of Event
Short summary (c. 50 words) comprising: Type of event, subject/topic. Venue, address, (hosted by). Booking info/deadlines. Cost e.g. members/non-members. Contact details – name, address, email. Website.
The web-only version of Briefing includes notices and courses, and can be submitted at any time with space for extended event summaries. We also have a NEW map search interface of events and contacts through TORC
So why not send us details of your event for inclusion – or have a browse and see what other events are coming up?
