Station Road is home to the first York Walls in Bloom site on our ancient city walls. The project was inspired by the Tower of London, Moat in Bloom, to deliver spectacular floral displays and allow many different pollinating insects to thrive. The wildflower area is in two parts which are split by Station Avenue. For the best experience, begin at Lendal Bridge for a close-up view and then walk the walls up to an amazing view of the flowers with York Minster in the background.

Here at All Saints North Street, we'll have a day of free family-friendly fun including crafts and quizzes, nature investigations in the churchyard, a Children's Trail, and a talk about the science of skeletons with archaeologist Dr Maria Fontanals-Coll. We'll even have some Yorkshire-themed refreshments on offer!
