Our Impact
Archaeology is about people - past, present, and future. At the Council for British Archaeology, our mission is to inspire individuals to explore their heritage and engage with the historic environment, fostering new connections among people and the places where they live, work, learn, and grow. We champion a people-centered approach to archaeology, promoting shared heritage and innovative practices that highlight the social impact of archaeology.
Our work is grounded in the belief that archaeology can bring people together, enrich lives, and shape a better future.
On this page, you’ll find a snapshot of the work we've done and the impact we’ve made each year.
Our Impact in 2024
Our work in 2024 was shaped by the continued success of the Reconnecting Archaeology project, the expansion of our youth and event programmes, and our continuing role as a voice for archaeology in the planning system.
Everything we do is made possible by our members, volunteers, partners, and supporters. Watch our 2024 AGM Impact Video to explore what we achieved with your help.
