Are you aged between 8 and 18 and interested in history and archaeology? Archaeologists from The Chester House Estate and the University of Leicester are pleased to be running a series of archaeology taster days aimed at young people interested in archaeology across August.
The day will consist of:
- 90-minute session digging and recording in our excavation area supervised by professional archaeologists.
- 30-minute session in the Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre looking at and analysing archaeological finds.
- A chance to help wash finds from this year's excavations.
- Opportunity to speak to experienced professionals and volunteers about careers and volunteering opportunities in archaeology.
