Historic England are the public body that helps people care for, enjoy and celebrate England's spectacular historic environment.

They protect, champion and save the places that define who we are and where we've come from as a nation. They care passionately about the stories they tell, the ideas they represent and the people who live, work and play among them.

Working with communities and specialists they share our passion, knowledge and skills to inspire interest, care and conservation, so everyone can keep enjoying and looking after the history that surrounds us all.

Cadw

Cadw

Cadw is a Welsh word meaning ‘to keep’ or ‘to protect’. And that’s exactly what we do.

Cadw is the Welsh Government’s historic environment service. We are working for an accessible and well-protected historic environment for Wales.

Our Mission

Caring for our historic places, inspiring current and future generations.

Our work serves a greater purpose - protecting our historic places so they can continue to inspire generations to come. We look back in order that we can see ahead.

Our Vision

A Wales where our historic places are cared for, understood and shared by everyone.

Our historic places continue to play a vital role in shaping modern Wales. They provide a living link to our diverse histories and help us make sense our place in a changing world.

We offer comprehensive plant hire solutions to serve the needs of both private and public sectors, including construction and redevelopment projects. Our tailored services ensure the efficient provision of plant equipment to support various project requirements.

Further to the increasing importance of reducing the environmental impact of work in the construction industry, we have invested heavily in specialist recycling equipment to reduce our carbon footprint.

This enables us to provide the hire of plant and recycling equipment, ideal for maximising the re-use of materials from site.

Bristol and Gloucestershire Archaeological Society

Bristol and Gloucestershire Archaeological Society

Patrons

The founders of BGAS back in 1876 wanted to create a learned society where interested individuals from any walk of life could share knowledge and discoveries about all aspects of the past, in Bristol and Gloucestershire. Today, while we tend to divide ‘the past’ into either history or archaeology, the two disciplines have always overlapped and we still aim to welcome anyone with a deep interest in either field. Times change, and BGAS is changing too. This redesigned website was originally launched in 2021, and was our latest step along the path. We anticipate continued development over several years, as further information resources and facilities are added.

Antiquity

Antiquity

Antiquity is a peer-reviewed journal of archaeology, founded by O.G.S. Crawford in 1927.

They publish the latest in archaeological research from across the world and on all periods, covering the earliest human origins to contemporary archaeological theory and everything in between.

Antiquity is owned by the Antiquity Trust, a registered charity.

Partners & Collaborators

National Trust

National Trust

As Europe’s largest conservation charity, the National Trust look after nature, beauty and history for everyone to enjoy.

They do it with the help of millions of members, volunteers, staff and donors. Without this, they couldn’t care for the miles of coastline, woodlands, countryside and the hundreds of historic buildings, gardens and precious collections they protect.

The CBA collaborates closely with the National Trust in various ways, from co-hosting events for the annual Festival of Archaeology to working on smaller joint projects. Together, we share a common goal: to help champion and care for our shared places.
