Journey Through the Past at Corfe Castle - Festival of Archaeology Closing Event

As part of the Festival of Archaeology Closing Weekend the Council for British Archaeology in collaboration National Trust’s Corfe Castle present a family day on the Purbeck Estate. There are family friendly activities, guided tours, story tellers and talks. There is an opportunity to speak to archaeologists on site. This event is free but some of the activities may need to be booked on the day.

The Programme, which takes place alongside all the activities is as follows :

10.15-10.30 - Welcome - Council for British Archaeology on the terrace

10.45-11.30 - Storyteller performance on the terrace

11.45-12.30 - Corfe village tour - Meet at St Edward King & Martyr church

11.45-12.45 - Archaeology of the castle: recent discoveries tour. Meet by the finds stand.

12.00-13:00 - Opportunity to ask our Archaeologists a question using #askanarchaeologist - Twitter

13.00-14.00 - Careers in Ruin podcast recording on the terrace
