The Friends of Grace Dieu Priory are pleased to offer two guided walks as part of the 2023 Festival of Archaeology.
Come and explore fascinating history of Grace Dieu with our guided walks, incorporating Grace Dieu Priory, the medieval Grace Dieu Park, and later Charnwood Forest Canal and Railway.
Starting at The Bull's Head car park, we walk through part of the ancient Grace Dieu Wood, under the Charnwood Forest Railway, along part of The Forest Line Canal, and into the ruins of Grace Dieu Priory which was originally a 13th century nunnery and later a Tudor Mansion.
Admission is £3 per person, payable on the day. No booking is required. Guidebooks are available to purchase on the day, or via our Facebook page.
