CBA- Yorkshire AGM and Spring Symposium

CBA Yorkshire are pleased to announce that our annual Spring Symposium will be held on Saturday 3rd February in the Creative Centre Auditorium at York St John Univ. York. The Symposium will present a wide range of topics from prehistoric coprolite mines to Second World War decoys via medieval pottery production and 18th century boats in addition to our usual AGM. The programme will include the 2024 AGM for CBA Yorkshire members only at 10.00 am. The symposium, starting at 11.00 am will include: Speeton Coprolite Mine — Chris Hall (Scarborough History and Archaeology Society) Sneaton QL Bombing Decoy — Ed Dennison (Ed Dennison Arch Services) Medieval pottery production in Yorkshire: Old questions, New data — Yannick Signer (York University) A multi period palisaded settlement on Gueswick Hills near Cotherstone in Teesdale — Tony Metcalf (Altogether Archaeology) Launch of the CBA Yorkshire Occasional Monograph Series — Boats in a Coal Mine — John Buglass (CBA Yorkshire) AGM (members only) free. Symposium: £10 members, £15 non-members £5 students.
