In Conversation Event - Afternoon Session

We need you help to better understand how we can support the network of archaeological groups and societies that form the bedrock of grassroots archaeology in the UK.

We need you help to better understand how we can support the network of archaeological groups and societies that form the bedrock of grassroots archaeology in the UK.

The Council for British Archaeology has received funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to deliver a new resilience project, Reconnecting Archaeology, over the next 18 months. The Reconnecting Archaeology project seeks to bridge gaps and strengthen ties within the archaeological sector and help create a more cohesive and supportive community.

At the heart of the project is reimagining the CBA's role as a network organisation and how we support organisations such as yours.

In the first of a regular series of monthly ‘In Conversation’ events, Neil Redfern, Executive Director of the CBA, will introduce Reconnecting Archaeology in more detail. We will also invite you to consider questions such as, what does archaeology mean to you? What are the biggest challenges you are facing as an archaeological organisation today?, What are you doing to understand and engage with your current audiences? And, what can the CBA do to support you?

This will be a chance for you to discuss your challenges and successes with other groups, societies, and organisations. It will offer you the opportunity to understand the CBA’s ambitions with Reconnecting Archaeology and where you might benefit from the project as a CBA organisational member.
