Join the University of York's Alex Harvey as he takes you on a digital history of the Mortonia Minecraft server. Named after the esteemed archaeologist Sir Mortimer Wheeler.

17/7/2020 marks the one year anniversary of the server being made into an always online multiplayer realm with input from archaeology students from around the world, who have created an amazing digital world of archaeology, with builds centred around specific eras (Medieval England, Ancient Rome, Imperial Japan).

Alex will give you a guided tour and explain how Minecraft can enhance learning around archaeology and bring history to life in a fun and creative digital space.
