TikTok has taken the online world by storm in the last two years. It’s a popular choice with teens and young people in particular, with user levels beginning to rival ‘tradition’ social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. It fosters creativity, allowing users of all skill level to create and upload their own videos to share with the platform’s audience. From dance routines to viral challenges, there is something to pique all interests. One such niche on TikTok sees users sharing bite-sized histories and historical facts.

During this event, we will guide participants through the research tools and narrative tips they need to produce such videos, before challenging them to create their own TikTok Time Travel film. This event is for people who want to discover, create and share bite-sized stories of their heritage and local history on TikTok.

This session was recorded as part of the 2021 Festival of Archaeology and is available to watch at any time via the CBA YouTube channel.
