Volunteering with EAFS
The Edinburgh Archaeological Field Society (EAFS) offers volunteering opportunities for individuals interested in archaeology and heritage. Volunteers can participate in fieldwork, including excavations and surveys, primarily at sites like the Cammo Estate in Edinburgh.
Activities may include:
- Excavation and recording
- Finds processing
- Guided walks and public engagement during open days
No prior experience is required—training and tools are provided. Volunteering is open to all, and sessions are typically scheduled during Scottish Archaeology Month and other seasonal events.
