Living History Fun Day at North Lincolnshire Museum

Archaeology Fun Day

Full day of events including

  • Viking display and activities by Regia Anglorum and Lindcolne Skipfierde. Activities include arming of the warrior and combat display, children’s drills, Storytelling and Norse myths.
  • Join Dr James Dilley from Ancient Crafts as he explores the Bronze Age! Visit the camp to learn how our ancestors lived 3,000 years ago.
  • Victorian washroom, Washing line, dolly tub activity with characters from Normanby Hall. Get to work in our Victorian Laundry! You’ve been employed to work in the laundry; washing, ironing and making sure Sir Sheffield’s whites are whiter than white! It is hard work in the laundry but lots of fun.
  • Crime Scene investigation – sherlock bones mock up. Sherlock Bones the Museum’s resident detective has been put to work to solve the latest Museum crime. Help Sherlock explore the crime scene and make your way around the Museum picking up clues left by the criminals!
  • Hands on our Museum Objects! Meet members of our expert Collections team to learn about the many wonderful objects the Museum takes care of.
  • Make and Take arts and crafts inspired by objects in the collection.
