Desford Heritage Festival - an event not to be missed.

Over the weekend of July 2nd & 3rd Desford will be transported back in time as it celebrates its long history.
The village will be divided into time zones. Over 500 musicians, re-enactors and dancers will descend on the village to make each zone come alive. You will get the opportunity to see what life might have been like in an educational, entertaining and interactive way. There will be a chance to have a go at sports of the period, listen to music through time, train to be a knight or Roman soldier, go to a Victorian school, see a Neolithic axe head and so much more.

Additional location/direction information
There will be encampments, displays etc all over the village. Most sites are accessible for wheelchairs. Car parking will be at either Caterpillar (UK) and Neovia on Peckleton Lane as you approach the village, or at Bosworth Academy on Leicester Lane. There will be a shuttle bus.
