A circular walk around the Hodgemoor Woods Site of Special Scientific Interest. We will see evidence of Romano-British settlement, the best preserved section of Roman Road in the Chilterns, Ridge and Furrow ploughing, visit the site of the Plague House, explore evidence of the extraction of raw materials, see remains of World War II occupation, and even an ornamental water garden; all hidden within these ancient woodlands.
This walk is entirely on rough woodland paths, which are muddy when wet.
