Mapping Monuments-Exploring Ordnance Survey Heritage

Multiple dates and times available

The 'Mapping Monuments' heritage project has a Summer Community Event over two days, with our volunteers working on archaeological and historical aspects of research on the Lough Foyle baseline and its local landscapes and people. The programme includes two public outreach events, first a talk about the research findings to date, led by the project team, and then secondly, an ‘open house’ where project members will be available discuss informally aspects of the project and view some of the project’s work, including posters and maps. All are welcome! Refreshments provided.

“Mapping Monuments” is a community heritage project exploring the landscape legacies of the Ordnance Survey in and around Lough Foyle. The project aims are to survey and map the heritage of the early Ordnance Survey within “Binevenagh and Coastal Lowlands” Landscape Partnership Scheme (LPS).
