The details
The walk will start at 11am, and will last between 2.5 and 3 hours. We will leave the start point promptly at 11am so please can we ask you to arrive by 10.50pm.
The walks will start and finish at the entrance to the Northern Henge. The nearest car park is at Nosterfield Nature Reserve and for directions and parking information, please see the English Heritage website.
The event is free to attend but places will be limited to 25 people per tour so booking is essential.
The event will take place outdoors so please be prepared for all weathers. The route is approximately 3 miles in total as we want to visit all three henges. The route is predominantly flat and makese use of existing paths and road services. Please be aware that there will be some sections where the ground may be uneven so please wear appropriate footwear for walking across rough terrain including fields, footpaths and woodland, particularly if it is wet. Please also ensure you are dressed suitably for walking through long grass and the possibility of the odd bramble where they encroach on the foothpaths we will be using. We reccomend ensuring your legs are covered to reduce the risk of any cuts, scratches, or tick bites.
If you have any mobility issues please let us know by contacting [email protected] in advance of the walk so we can ensure the walk is suitably paced.
