From 18th July to 2nd August, the UK’s largest celebration of archaeology is back, and this year we’re exploring the connections between archaeology and nature.

The Archaeological Achievement Awards, coordinated by the Council for British Archaeology, celebrate the very best of archaeology across the UK and Ireland. On 28 November 2025, we gathered in the historic Great Hall at Queen’s University Belfast to celebrate the projects, people, and partnerships driving forward archaeological practice, participation, and innovation.

We’re delighted to announce the winners and shortlist for the 2025 Marsh Community Archaeology Awards, delivered in partnership between the Council for British Archaeology and the Marsh Charitable Trust. 

The Archaeological Achievement Awards celebrate the outstanding work of archaeologists and heritage professionals across the UK. As we approach the 2024 awards, we’re excited to announce the shortlisted candidates who have demonstrated exceptional work in their categories.
