Culver Archaeological Project Volunteering
The Culver Archaeological Project welcomes volunteers of all experience levels to participate in its summer excavation season at Bridge Farm, near Lewes. Opportunities are available in excavation, finds processing, and environmental archaeology.
Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteers can take part in:
- Excavation and fieldwork (Monday to Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm)
- Finds processing
- Environmental sample sorting, including flotation and residue work
No prior experience is required. All volunteers receive guidance and training from professional archaeologists.
Field School Training
A four-week training course is available for those seeking structured learning. This course mirrors the undergraduate training provided by Canterbury Christ Church University and includes practical fieldwork and skills development.
