Brading Roman Villa Festival of Archaeology

Brading Roman Villa will be hosting several events and activities to tie in with Festival of Archaeology, an annual festival coordinated by the Council for British Archaeology.

On Saturday the 20th of July we will have family archaeology, get hands on with the tools of the trade brushes, trowels and see what you can find. We will have weaving demonstrations. We have a Big Dig Exhibition with lots of information on the digs here at the Villa.

Come and discover the ancient landscape around Brading Roman Villa. Join in with our Biosphere Nature Trail, to help you discover clues about the wonderful wild world outside, pick up an Explorer Bag from the museum reception.

Brading Roman Villa is housed in a modern building that is designed for safe and easy access for people of all ages and mobility. The whole site and café are accessible by wheelchair and there is one available for use from the front desk. There are three dedicated disabled spaces in the main car park.

From the car park there is a smooth pavement that rises slightly on a gradient to the front door 40m from the car park. There are electric doors to gain entry to the front of the building. BRV offer free entry entitlement for carers or support workers when accompanying a disabled visitor.
