Join our guided tour to learn more about the town of Nantwich and the present day echoes of its medieval expansion.
This guided tour explores the findings of a research project conducted by volunteers at Nantwich Museum. Using archaeological, archival, and mapping evidence, the project found Nantwich to be a planned, economically significant medieval town.
We will be exploring burgage plots, castle layouts, and the hallmarks of salt production. Much of the current town centre is shown to follow this medieval blueprint. Come and explore Nantwich through a medieval lens and discover one of the most remarkable 13th-14th century market towns.
