On the ground

Fort Cumberland Nature Walk and Lab Tour

Multiple dates and times available

Join us for a relaxing stroll through the beautiful surroundings of Fort Cumberland! It's a great chance to soak up some fresh air and spot local wildlife in our 17th century fort.

Once we have explored the fort, there will be time for a tour of our laboratories, where we conduct archaeological and heritage science analysis and research.

There will be two tours, one in the morning from 10am to 11am, and a second in the afternoon 2pm-3pm. Make sure to reserve your spot via our Eventbrite link!

Due to health and safety, please make sure you book one spot for each member of your party - places on each tour are limited. Also please make sure to bring sturdy walking shoes. Due to our close proximity to the sea, weather at the fort can be temperamental - please bring a hat and water protection if it looks like rain!

2. Cinnabar moth (and caterpillars)

3. Fennel
