Fulham Palace is often described as a hidden gems and as London's second oldest botanic garden it has a long and storied history. Home of the Bishop of London from AD 704 to 1973 it has ancient origins which can be traced back to the Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic transition, with evidence of Roman, Saxon, medieval and post-medieval activity. This tour will look at the site's topographic location, its changing environment and the events, people and even animals which have shaped it over the years.
