Breedon Hill has an Iron Age hillfort containing an Anglo-Saxon monastery which later became a medieval Augustinian priory and then a parish church. Archaeologists Peter Liddle and Rachel Askew will guide you around the priory church which boasts one of the best collections of Anglo-Saxon carvings in the country, as well as some fabulous Tudor tombs, and then walk around the surviving banks of the Iron Age hillfort.
