Guided Walk of Old Dalby Parkland Including the site of Knights Hospitaller Preceptory

Old Dalby parkland adjacent to the church has evidence of its changing use throughout history including strip fields, preceptory ‘bumps and lumps’ in the ground, ancient woodland and what may be the remains of the Knights Hospitallers’ carp pond. We will also have a quick look at some of the unusual graves and monuments in the churchyard.

Led by local volunteers you will walk across the park field and through the woods. It is approximately 1 mile, will include 2 stiles and may be a little muddy in parts if there has been recent rain.
