Home and Hearth: Archaeological finds exhibition @ Corfe Castle

Multiple dates and times available

Delve into the past and discover more about everyday life at Corfe Castle. This exhibition, hosted in Castle View Welcome Centre, showcases fascinating small finds from archaeological excavations.

The castle was a busy hub of activity during the medieval period with houses, workshops and stables all within the castle walls. Focusing on this era, the artefacts reveal intricate details of everyday life at the castle 800 years ago. Look out for the cheater’s dice, tweezers, a bone flute, personal adornments and other intriguing everyday items.

This is your chance to see these tiny ancient objects up close, sparking your imagination about the people who once made and used them.

This exhibition is located in Castle View, our Welcome Centre.

Get hands-on with our handling collection between 11am - 3pm on the following dates: 28 July, 5 August, 12 August, 18 August, 19 August, 25 August, 26 August.
