Come and explore Nature at Norton, a fantastic exhibition created by the Norton Priory Museum Trust Youth Development Board. The display highlights fascinating excavated items from the museum collection with links to the natural world such as medieval floor tiles and mosaics with images of a lions mane and cat paw print. The Board have also created a Nature in Archaeology trail around the galleries for families to take part in.
This special exhibition will be featured in the upstairs gallery space at Norton Priory Museum & Gardens and included in your admission.
In addition to the exhibition, on Mon 27th & Tues 28th July there will be fun craft activities inspired by the Festival of Archaeology’s nature theme. You can get stuck in with making a Green Man mask, Stone Age cave painting, and a cookie excavation digging for chocolate chip rocks!
Craft activities are run as free drop-in sessions between 11am – 3pm, also included in admission.
