Fornland (www.fornland.com) is a free, open-access web app that brings together over one million cultural heritage sites from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, and the British Isles on a single interactive map. From Bronze Age rock art and Viking runestones to medieval battlefields, shipwrecks, and folklore — Fornland makes centuries of heritage explorable for everyone. Each site is automatically enriched with historical context from Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and national heritage databases. The map covers 18 categories including barrows, megaliths, lighthouses, industrial heritage, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, museums, and more. Available in seven languages.
