CIfA Early Careers Conference: Amplifying the Voices of Early Career Archaeologists

This conference was organised by the CIfA Early Careers Special Interest Group and held during the 2021 Festival of Archaeology as part of Student Takeover Day. It was an opportunity for archaeology students and early career archaeologists to present their work to the public and throughout the day our 15 speakers presented on an incredible range of subjects so there's something of interest for everyone!

  • Kelly Griffiths - Horse Sense: An investigation into Human-Horse Relationships in the Iron Age. 
  • Michael D’Aprix - The Fragmentation of Archaeology: The hurdles that archaeologists face in a divided discipline. 
  • Elizabeth Legge - Marcus Julius Agrippa I, the Roman-Judaean grandson of Herod the Great. 
  • Megan Schlanker - The Archaeology of the Underrepresented.  
  • Summer Austin - Methods for studying the antiquities market. 
  • Wil Partridge - Picking up the Pieces: Romano-British Pewter Tableware in Wiltshire.
