Co-editor (archaeology) of the Transactions of the Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society

LAHS is seeking a hon. co-editor (archaeology) for the Transactions of the Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society.

The hon. co-editors work in partnership to produce the Transactions, which is key to the mission of the Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society (LAHS) to promote and support the archaeology, history and heritage of Leicestershire and Rutland.
The hon. co-editors are responsible for the overall quality of the content of the Transactions and for overseeing the complete process of production, from submission of articles to final publication. They are responsible for upholding the mission and scope of the Transactions and for selecting papers that provide important contributions to knowledge. They work with the editorial board of LAHS and the publisher/printer to agree a timeline for publication, and on all matters related to the Transactions. The hon. co-editors are members of the LAHS committee.
We are looking for an hon. co-editor who has experience of editing scholarly or professional publications. They should have expertise in archaeology, heritage/museum studies or a related area. They will join an hon. co-editor with expertise in Medieval History.
The hon. co-editors will be mentored by the retiring editor and supported by committee members as part of the LAHS team.
