A Tour of Groby Old Hall Grounds
Join Peter Liddle for a walk round the grounds of Groby Old Hall for an external look at the Old Hall (including some of the earliest brick structures in Leicestershire), a visit to the Norman motte, the ruins of the medieval manor and the area of the Time Team excavations and geophysical surveys. This site was a castle of the Earls of Leicester, the home of the Ferrers and Grey families and that of Elizabeth Woodville, Edward IV’s Queen.
