An evening with the Anglo Saxons – Mead, Music and Storytelling

As darkness falls on Saturday evening, visitors will have the exclusive chance to join the warriors of Herigeas Hundas around the fire for a night of mead, music and storytelling.

Immerse yourself in history and raise a cup of mead with the Anglo Saxon reenactors of Herigeas Hundas on a warm summers evening. Find your seat in the Little Woodbury round house and enjoy enchanting Saxon stories, listen to the epic deeds and songs of great warriors and join in with a celebratory drum circle to finish the night with a bang!

It is easy to reach Butser Ancient Farm, which is close to the border of Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey. We are situated just off the A3 between London and Portsmouth about 5 miles South of Petersfield. We are signposted in both directions at the Chalton / Clanfield exit and have a car park and overflow parking, including disabled parking by our visitor centre.

If using our postcode in your Sat Nav please be aware that your Sat Nav may take you past the entrance to the farm and down into Chalton Village.
