As part of the Council of British Archaeology’s Festival of Archaeology, this talk will explore the fascinating history of Shapwick including its Roman Fort and settlement and its connections to Badbury Rings and surrounding historical sites.
Experienced National Trust Archaeologist, Martin Papworth has spent much of his career working on Badbury Rings and the Kingston Lacy estate so can enthral with first-hand stories and experience.
The talk will be in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Shapwick will last approximately one hour with time for questions.
