2025 Festival of Archaeology Giveaway

This year we have a fantastic Festival of Archaeology giveaway for you!

To celebrate our theme of Archaeology and Wellbeing we have a great bundle of prizes designed to help you connect with archaeology and add a mindful moment to your day. 

 

The prizes

The winner will receive:

  • One year membership to the Council for British Archaeology which includes subscription to British Archaeology magazine

  • A £100 voucher for Cotswold Outdoor

A runner-up will receive a £50 Cotswold Outdoor voucher, a copy of The Wellbeing Journal: Creative Activities to Inspire by Mind and an Ashwood Candles archaeology themed candle. 

 

How do I enter?

In 2024 we did an impact study looking back at the last five years of the Festival of Archaeology and one of the areas we looked at was the number of events and opportunities people had to engage with archaeology from 2020-2024. We would like you to guess how many events have been held across the UK during the Festival of Archaeology during that period. 

To enter, all you need to do is submit your answer and contact details via the form below.

The closing date is 31 August 2025. 

Entrants must be aged 18 or over and based in the UK, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition is open to residents of the UK, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.  This excludes Council for British Archaeology staff and direct family members, Trustees, and anyone currently working with CBA on a freelance contract.  

  1. Closing date: The last day to send in entries is 31st August 2025.  

  1. The winner of each category will receive a one year Council for British Archaeology membership and a prize bundle. 

  2. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.   

  3. Each entrant may submit only one entry.  

  1. Use the online form to submit your entry.     

  2. The winning entries will be judged by the Festival of Archaeology team. The judges’ decision will be final.  

  3. The winners will be notified by 3rd September.   

  1. By entering this competition, you agree that your entry may be used by the CBA Festival of Archaeology and the Council for British Archaeology, including but not limited to, our websites, and social media accounts.  

  1. Personal data submitted will only be used in relation to the competition. Unless you are a winner of the competition, your information will be securely deleted once the competition is complete and no later than 31st August 2026.  For more information see the CBA’s privacy policy.   

  1. Entry to the competition confirms acceptance of the above rules.  

  1. If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, the Council for British Archaeology reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up.
