Archaeology is the study of the past. But what does archaeology have to do with the worlds of today and tomorrow? How can we use archaeology to help build better futures?

In this talk Rachel will explore how archaeology is making a difference in the world of today, and how thinking like an archaeologist can help contribute to making better future worlds. Drawing on her recently published book with Craig Cipolla and Ollie Harris, Rachel will outline how archaeological thinking is able to challenge many of the problems we face today. In particular, she will explore how we think about leadership, and who leaders are using a Bronze Age burial landscape from southern Britain.
