National Trust Activities during the Festival of Archaeology

Between the 16 to 31 July National Trust places up and down the country will be taking part in the Council for British Archaeology’s Festival of Archaeology.
Walks and talks with archaeologists will reveal how thousands of years of history have been woven into the countryside, live surveys and excavations will reveal secrets from the past and exhibitions will showcase finds from recent digs and searches.
Family activities including living history events with the chance to meet costumed characters from Anglo-Saxon and Roman times, historic arts and crafts (including pottery and mosaic making), sandpit digs and the opportunity to handle replica artefacts.
