The Fourth Annual Pitt Rivers Lecture entitled “The origins of our species” will be given by the internationally renowned anthropologist Professor Chris Stringer (Natural History Museum,UK).

Over the past decade, new finds in the archaeological and fossil record and the advent of ancient genomes have changed our view of modern human origins. This lecture will look at the changing and challenging picture that is now emerging, reviewing evidence from each of these three areas, and the way they are impacting reconstructions of our own evolutionary history.

This lecture was recorded and is now available to view on the University of Bournemouth YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15XB528Gxww
