Home Front Legacy 1914-18: Launch and Legacy

Chris Kolonko, former Project Archaeologist for the CBA’s Home Front Legacy 1914-18 project, took a look at the findings of the ground breaking project and what we can learn from the data that was recorded by the project’s volunteers. The talk will also looked at the future of Home Front Legacy’s data and how it can be used in the future to investigate the First World War Home Front in the UK.

Chris's talk coincided with the launch of the Home Front Legacy archive which is hosted by the Archaeology Data Service (ADS)(link is external) and can be accessed here https://doi.org/10.5284/1059297(link is external).  

You can also access the range of learning resources for young people created as part of the Home Front Legacy project via the Young Archaeologists' Club AC website(link is external).
