AMPHORA guides
Working with the AMPHORA Project team, we have developed two short guides with some simple tips to help make sure your Festival events are safe and welcoming spaces.
The guide for providers is designed for event organisers to help you think about the wellbeing of your audiences when planning your events. The advice provided here is valuable when planning any event but may be particularly relevant if your event incorporates sensitive material such as human remains or incorporates subjects such as conflict or colonial histories.
The second guide is for event participants and offers some simple actions to think about before, during and after attending an event. This guide is also a great prompt for event organisers to think about their own wellbeing.
The guides are available as pdf files and can be downloaded here:
We partnered with Dr Karen Burnell (Solent University) and Dr Paul Everill (University of Winchester) from the AMPHORA project team to produce these guides.
The AMPHORA project has produced a series of toolkits for involving people with mental health challenges in heritage projects. Written for project providers, social prescribers, and potential participants, the toolkits and further information on the project is available here.
