CBA South East

CBA South East is a branch of the Council for British Archaeology, which aims to share information across the counties of Kent, Surrey, and East and West Sussex, and advance the public’s knowledge of archaeology and history in these areas.
Aside from their website, they publish two annual newsletters and a bi-monthly ‘e-letter’ to members. Past issues are available on their website, alongside news, projects, campaigns, courses, lectures, workshops, conferences, fieldwork opportunities, and other activities. You can also keep up-to-date with their latest news via Facebook and Twitter.
The biggest event they run is the annual Conference, recently held online, alongside the AGM.
They also have a planning and advocacy sub-group to promote the group's archaeology interests in environmental and infrastructure developments.
Membership details are available on their website.
The Council for British Archaeology works with eleven local CBA groups in England and Wales, and in Scotland with our sister organisation, Archaeology Scotland. These groups operate separately from the head CBA and manage their own activities and governance.
